Exporting Your Game for Shiba
1. Create an Export Directory
Make a directory for your game export, for example call it: Export.
2. Set Up Export in Godot
- Go into your Project tab and find Export.
- Under presets, add: Web.
- Tap: Export Project
- Name your file index.html (no other name will work).
- Make sure it is routed to your Export directory.
3. Zip Your Export
- Open your Export folder.
- Drag over all of the items in the folder.
- Right-click and select:
- Compress (Mac)
- Zip (Windows)
Important: zip the contents of the Export folder, not the folder itself.
4. Upload to Shiba
- Go to shiba.hackclub.com.
- Tap on My Games.
- Open your game.
- On the left, find where you can upload a devlog.
- You’ll see three options:
- Devlog
- Artlog
- Demo
Select Demo.
- Upload the zip of your game to the Shiba site.
It may take up to 5 minutes depending on your internet connection and how many people are uploading at once.
5. Post
Press Post and your game is now live on Shiba.
Troubleshooting
If you get a 404 error:
- You probably zipped the entire Export folder instead of its contents.
- You may not have named it index.html.
- Or there may be another issue.
