Exporting Your Game for Shiba

1. Create an Export Directory

Make a directory for your game export, for example call it: Export.

2. Set Up Export in Godot

  • Go into your Project tab and find Export.
  • Under presets, add: Web.
  • Tap: Export Project
    • Name your file index.html (no other name will work).
    • Make sure it is routed to your Export directory.

3. Zip Your Export

  • Open your Export folder.
  • Drag over all of the items in the folder.
  • Right-click and select:
    • Compress (Mac)
    • Zip (Windows)

Important: zip the contents of the Export folder, not the folder itself.

4. Upload to Shiba

  • Go to shiba.hackclub.com.
  • Tap on My Games.
  • Open your game.
  • On the left, find where you can upload a devlog.
  • You’ll see three options:
    • Devlog
    • Artlog
    • Demo

Select Demo.

  • Upload the zip of your game to the Shiba site.

It may take up to 5 minutes depending on your internet connection and how many people are uploading at once.

5. Post

Press Post and your game is now live on Shiba.

Troubleshooting

If you get a 404 error:

  • You probably zipped the entire Export folder instead of its contents.
  • You may not have named it index.html.
  • Or there may be another issue.
